Hi there.
I figure it is about time I do an update. I have one more day here in Kitgum and then Monday I journey on a bus for eight hours down to Kampala. The Solid Rock team is flying in late Monday evening and so I will be at the airport to greet and join them. I am really excited to see them all, and excited to go back and see all the places I went to last year when I came. However, I will admit I am so bummed this means I will miss two weeks going to the village! But it will be really great to travel with the team. I honestly don't know everything that we have planned, I know that we are spending the first week in Kampala, and then going to spend the second week in Arua, which is Northern Uganda also. We will be helping out with a big Jesus Conference taking place in Kampala, visiting and ministering to a new home that Solid Rock has planted that is saving girls from the sex trade in the city, and I'm sure we'll go back to Loving Hearts Orphanage as well. Maybe I can even see my little man Alpha! Then we will drive up to Arua (another 8ish hours I would assume) and do some community outreach in the schools and prisons. Solid Rock has been helping plant a church there under a Ugandan Pastor, John Paul, and we'll be working with him.

Life here in Kitgum has been amazing. Loving every single day. However, I am always sad when one day ends because that means it is one day closer to me leaving! This past week I was really blessed, especially in Latodore. I taught the kiddos in Genesis 26 and had probably the best fellowship with the ladies since I have been here.

Can't believe my time here is so quickly dwindling! Hope you are being blessed wherever you are!

  1. Not surprised by one word Sisstir Heidy. :) God is so good, all the time. Hug more Uganda babies for me and please, please greet everyone for me. Pastor JP, Jonathan, and Patrick. Also, if you see Juliet in Arua, greet her for me too! If you go to ARM, remember to look for Joy. Edith is how everyone knows her. Okay, love you Elise!!
